It is already for the second time that the infoShare Startup Zone, a special area dedicated to startups and investors, will be arranged under the infoShare, one of the largest IT & New Media conferences in Europe. Organisation of the Zone has been entrusted to the Gdańsk Entrepreneurship Incubator STARTER.
infoShare Startup Zone is the name of the area open to entrepreneurs and investors from all over the world, wholly dedicated to innovative projects. Just as in the previous year,
the startups participating in the zone arranged by STARTER will have an opportunity to join the companies presenting themselves at the dedicated stands of the Startup Expo,
and participate in the Startup Contest.
– The contest is an excellent occasion to promote ideas looking for ways and funds for development. Participation in the Startup Contest is something more than an opportunity to give a presentation before international jurors. Thanks to the mentor-meeting formula adopted for the contest its participants will have an opportunity to learn about business building. Moreover, the winners, who will give their presentations on the infoShare main stage, will get a chance to win interest of international investors. Obviously, the contest will involve numerous attractions and awards. We trust that the finalist will repeat the success of CTAdventure, whose journey also started from participation in and winning of the infoShare Startup Contest – says Agnieszka Meller from the Gdańsk Entrepreneurship Incubator STARTER.
The Startup Contest is an event addressed at startups which, although at an early stage of their project, already have at least one demo version of their product developed.
– The contest welcomes ideas from more than the areas of IT and new technologies. We are interested in all innovative solutions, to name e.g. the abundance of projects crafted for the world of science. All you need to join is to enter the website and complete the form – adds Agnieszka Meller.
We will select thirty projects from among those registered at http://infoshare.pl/. The semifinalists will meet at the STARTER to present themselves before an international panel of jurors who will select the final five. The non-selected semifinalists will be offered a chance to win a ‘wild card’ in an extra 90-second presentation on the Startup Stage. Two of them will join the selected finalists as the ‘investments of the audience’. The seven most promising projects will compete to win on the main stage of the infoShare conference.
The winners will be announced as early as this 12 June.
